Rang de basanti rawkkkksss........

Everything seems to have gone right with Rang de Basanti, right from AR Rehman's music, Binod Pradhan's cinematography, adman Prasoon Joshi's dialogues, the performances by the lead cast as well as moving cameos by actors like Kirron kher, Waheeda Rehman and Om Puri.

The movie also doesnt seen to have the usual hangover of a superstar movie, it is not Aamir khan through and through, Siddharth and Kunal especially get ample opportunity to show their talent and they do so with aplomb, but the revelation of the movie is undoubtedly Sharman Joshi.

DJ, Karan, Aslam, Sukhi, Sonia all seem to be people we have known in real life, DJ's reaction on realizing Sue can understand English, Sonia expression after Madhavan proposes to her are all so real that you feel that you are a part of those situations. Everything about the characters is infectious, you tend to laugh with them as also cry with them.

Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will surely succeed I believe in doing what none before him have been able to do, that is the task of creating awareness amongst the Indian Youth about their country's history. The manner in which he does it is appreciable, he doesnt impart on a lecture but tries to mix what we can relate i.e. our day to day life with what the revolutionaries must have been going through. The movie moves seamlessly between the past and the present – that is, between the past being reenacted by those from the present.

All in all a beautful film and absolutely work a watch atleast once to experience three of the finest hours of commercial Hindi cinema.

Take care
Tahseen

hmm I would have thought that even with DJ's extremely limited intelligence that he would know that a British lady would know how to speak English....
